→ The pancreas is a gland. Located in the abdomen

→ The pancreas is 6 inches long.

→ The pancreas shaped is like a pear surrounded by the stomach, small intestine, liver, spleen, and bladder.

→ The pancreas is a Hetrocrine gland having both exocrine and endocrine functions.

→ As Endocrine Pancreas releases hormones that regulate blood sugars.

→ Two main Pancreas hormones that secrete Pancreas are insulin and glucagon.

→ Islets of Langerhans of Pancreas having α-cells release glucagon.

→ glucagon increases blood sugar levels.

→ β-Cells of islets of Langerhans release insulin hormone which decreases blood sugar levels.

→ As the Exocrine pancreas releases pancreatic juice and pancreatic enzymes.

→ The pancreas is divided into head, neck or body, and tail.

→ The central section is called the neck or body
