Introduction of Liver:
1). Large organ that is located on the right side of the belly.
2). Liver is reddish - Brown in color.
3). Liver has two large sections called the right and left lobes.
4). Gall bladder situated under the liver with pancreas and intestine.
Functions of Liver
1). Albumin Production:- Albumin is a protein that keeps Fluid in blood from taking into tissue.
2). Bile Production:- Bile digest the fat by Emulsification.
3). Filter Blood:- Liver filter the blood.
4). Regulates Amino Acids:- Liver makes sure that amino acid levels in the blood stay healthy.
5). Regulates Infections:- Liver removes bacteria from the blood.
6). Regulates blood clotting:- Coagulation is produced by the Vitamin K
Vitamin K is absorbed with the help of bile.
7). Stores Vitamins and Minerals:- Liver stores Vit A, D, E, K & B12 and Minerals Iron & Copper (Cu)
8). Stores Glucose:- The liver stores glucose in glycogen from when the body needed it to convert back into glucose.
